  • James Pinkstone | Concord Creative

    James Pinkstone General Manager Hails From: Philadelphia, PA. Education: Penn State University - Bachelor of Arts, with honors and distinction Leading up to his tenure at Concord Creative, James worked for The Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a District Aide and, afterward, for Nickel and Dime recording studio in Atlanta, Georgia. James has also worked in education, as an adjunct instructor at SAE Institute Atlanta, and as a freelance writer for Performer Magazine and The Huffington Post. In addition to James never missing a beat and keeping everything in the office running smooth, his humor and charm keep everyone smiling. Favorite Concord Project (so far) : James’ favorite project was the winter scene set build, including actual birch trees, for Serta Simmons Bedding’s Arctic mattress ad campaign. The dimension and depth of field offered by the trees, when combined with a scenic canvas background, gave the set a surreal and alluring serenity. ​ ​ Previous Next

    Kyle Ankiel Senior Project Manager Hails From: Virginia Education: Longwood University - B.F.A. in Design & Technology for Theatre Prior to joining Concord Creative, Kyle worked as a scenic carpenter and electrician with numerous theaters and scenic companies across the southeast and midwest. In addition, he served as the Assistant Technical Director with the Gainesville Theatre Alliance. Starting as a draftsman at Concord Creative, and transitioning into Project Management, Kyle has his fingers in all aspects of production. With his extensive knowledge of fabrication and wide berth of technical skills, along with his limitless energy, Kyle brings his best with each and every project. Favorite Concord Project (so far) : Kyle's favorite project to date is the production of 42nd Street for the Ordway Performing Arts Center in St Paul MN. This unique revival of a classic show allowed him to fully utilize his skills while working with a Broadway caliber design team, from inception all the way through the final installation. ​ ​ Previous Next

  • Cindy Tjoflat | Concord Creative

    Cindy Tjoflat Partner / Creative Marketing Hails From: Statesboro, GA Education: Georgia Southern University - Bachelor of Fine Arts, Minor in Psychology Cindy began her career working in the music industry in the early 90’s, post college graduation. She moved on to graphic design, working for several independent music publications, an inventor, and eventually settled into photo art direction for commercial photography studios in 1999. After working in the industry and moving across studios for close to a decade, Cindy worked her last corporate gig as a studio Creative Director of Photography in 2008. During her tenure, she managed multiple photo teams/projects simultaneously, worked hand in hand with in house scenic departments to design and construct sets, worked with producers and logistics for location projects, managed project budgets, and headed creative planning for large corporate accounts. In 2008, Cindy left the corporate creative industry and joined Tom in building what is today’s Concord Creative. Favorite Concord Project (so far): Cindy’s favorite projects to work on at Concord involve the concept phase for sets and scenery, where Concord has creative input. For that reason, Syd Norman’s Pub House, for Norwegian Cruise Lines in 2022, would be her favorite project to date. ​ ​ Previous Next

  • Tony Martin | Concord Creative

    Tony Martin Project Coordinator Hails From: UK Prior to moving to the United States in 1996, Tony Martin worked in freight forwarding/logistics in the UK, including eight years for UPSCO (the airline division of United Parcel Service). Afterward, he was an Operations Controller for cargo airline Channel Express. Once arriving in Atlanta, Georgia, Tony worked as a carpenter, remodeling houses for fifteen years. This period included a lengthy tenure with interior designer Tim Hobby, making over numerous high-profile homes, including those of professional athletes and other celebrities in the Atlanta area. In 2018, Tony joined the Concord Creative team, both on the shop floor was well as overseeing installations on the road. Favorite Concord Project (so far): The BET Hip Hop Awards, for which Tony has done several installations, is his favorite Concord Creative project due to its theatricality and always-changing parameters. ​ ​ Previous Next

    John (Johx) DiPerna Shop Lead / Installation Supervisor Hails From: Boston, MA. Education: Hofstra University - B.A. Video and Television Production Post undergrad, John served as the master carpenter for one of the preeminent regional theaters in New England, North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, MA. John’s infectious energy and wit, and palpable zeal for his craft, was next poured into teaching the next generation of theatre technicians as the Creative/Technical Director for Lexington Public Schools in Lexington, MA. Since joining the Concord family in 2022, he has been afforded many exciting opportunities, and truly enjoys the travel grind of show installation. John is thrilled to call Concord Creative—and Georgia—home. Favorite Concord Project (so far): John’s most recent favorite install was co-supervising the scenic installation of “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, in Orlando, FL.     Daniel Rissanen CNC Operator Hails From: Buford, GA Daniel was a student of theatre, and, while in school, took a liking to set construction and installation. Upon completing school, Daniel began working for Concord Creative as a part-time shop hand before stepping into his current role manning their array of CNC machines. Favorite Concord Project (so far): Daniel’s favorite project since joining the team has been building scenery for "A Night When Hope and History Rhyme," a one-off event held on the South Lawn of The White House, featuring a musical performance by Sir Elton John. ​ ​ Previous Next

    Liz Gubler CAD Detailer Halls From: St. George, Utah Education: University of Georgia - M.F.A Scenography Liz has accrued experience in the entertainment industry since her graduation from high school in 2010. Throughout her career, she has undertaken numerous drafting, design and painting projects for various shows throughout the United States. Following the completion of her Masters degree, in 2020, Liz took the position of shop supervisor/ATD at Utah Tech University for a duration of 2 years. In 2022, she relocated to the Atlanta area with the intention of dedicating herself fully to her passion of working in the theatre and film industry.     Joey Swift Project Manager Hails From: Atlanta, GA Education: Roanoke College - B.A. Theatre Post graduation, Joey returned to Atlanta where he began work as a carpenter at Horizon Theatre Company. Joey later became the Assistant Technical Director of Horizon before accepting the role of Technical Director at The Atlanta Lyric Theatre. During his tenure there, he continued to work as a lighting and scenic designer with other companies including OutFront Theatre Company, Found Stages, and 7 Stages. As aProject Manager at Concord Creative, Joey enjoys the breadth of work that he is able to be a part of, and he specifically enjoys the familiarity of the theatrical community and the challenges that are presented with the variety of each show. Favorite Concord Project (so far): Amongst Joey’s favorite projects are the 2023 American Country Music Awards and CMT’s 2023 Summer Camp with Tyler Hubbard. His roots in theatre have made him partial to working with the administration and crew of the Drury Lane Theatre just outside of Chicago ​ ​ Previous Next
